It's not an original thought, (What is?), but when the Bible says "in all things give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." (1 Th. 5.18), it clearly expresses that Thanksgiving is more than a season or holiday. It is a way living, a hopeful and, therefore, optimistic way of relating to life and other people.
